Bachata Dominicana Part 2: Partnering + How to create your own patterns (Women & Men)

International Guest Instructor: Alberto Papi

Alberto Archilla (aka Alberto Papi) is well known for his unique style and flair. He has studied with some of the best instructors from Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, and New York. With his diverse and extensive experience in a myriad of dances, including Argentine Tango, Alberto and his former dance company represented Hawai`i at the 2nd West Coast Bacardi Salsa Congress in L.A. as well as the Bacardi Salsa Congress in Puerto Rico.

Having spent time studying the origins of bachata in the Dominican Republic, Alberto Papi knows how important is to maintain the true essence of the dance. The beauty of Dominican bachata lies in its pure simplicity. During his instruction, Alberto aids dancers in formulating a renewed vision of real Dominican bachata, especially to those that may have not experienced authentic dancing en los barrios, and accompanied with class act bachata musicians such as Joan Soriano during his trips to the Dominican Republic. 

Alberto Papi has provided Dominican bachata instruction at top national bachata festivals , including: Reno, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Dallas, San Francisco, New York City (NYC weekly Bachata Meet Up & Ra'leau Dance Studio).
